Everybody needs to submit the winning lottery within 30 days of the lottery drawn date to Claim the lottery prize.
Prize up to 1 lakh may be claimed from a lottery agency or District lottery offices.
Before submitting tickets to claim prizes you need to mention your full name and address on the backside of a lottery ticket.
The procedure to claim a prize amount of more than 1 lakh is totally different.
To claim a prize amount of more than 1 lakh you need to submit some additional documents.
|Aadhar Card/Ration Card/Driving License/Passport/Voter ID Card Copy. (Address Proof)
|PAN Card Copy. (Id Proof)
|Original Lottery ticket and Both Side photocopy of a lottery ticket.
|Application to claim a lottery prize.
|Two Passport size photographs duly attested by Gazetted Officer/Notary.
|A receipt for the prize money in the prescribed form affixing a revenue stamp worth Rs.1/- with the full address.
In case of joint claims, one of the prize-winners should be authorized to receive the prize money and a ‘Joint Declaration’ in stamp paper worth Rs. 50/- should be executed.
Copy of Address proof, Id proof, and copy of lottery tickets must be self-attested by the lottery winner.
You need to submit all the above documents to the Director of the state lottery to claim the lottery prize.
After verification of the genuineness of lottery tickets and all other documents, the prize amount will be transferred to your bank account.
How Much Amount will Recive Ater Deduction.
Tax amount and agency commission will be deducted from the lottery amount before transferring it to your account.
According to Income Tax Act, 194 B 30% tax is deducted from the lottery winning prize amount as income tax.
As agency commission, 10% will also deduct from the lottery winning prize amount.
After deduction of tax and agency commission the amount will be transferred to your account.
